To Whom It May Concern:
I wish to add my voice in asking that you vote to make
The Buhl Planetarium and Institute of Popular Science to be a city designated historic structure. Millions of people have graced its doors
since it’s opening in 1939. It was and
is a legacy left by the estate of the late department store founder Henry Buhl,
Jr., an entrepreneur, who did so much for the City of Pittsburgh. It is a
wonderful drawing card to come and visit Pittsburgh and see this magnificent building. There are not many other cities in the United States that can boast of having such a historic planetarium. I hope you will consider making this a city
designated historic structure. Thank
you.
