Cover: "St. Luke in Buhl Planetarium"
"St. Luke" points to the Christmas Star and tells the
Christmas Story on the world’s first permanent
theatrical stage in a planetarium! The live stage
performance(presented each Christmas season from
1939 through 1990) was a highlight of the popular holiday
sky drama, The Star of Bethlehem, at The Buhl Planetarium
and Institute of Popular Science in Pittsburgh. In the foreground
is the Zeiss II Planetarium Projector, now the oldest operable,
major planetarium projector in the world!
